Hi again your roving reporter Blade: To-day this
show started well. After walking round the showground for about twenty minutes
looking for our marquee, we found where it was supposed to be, next to the falconry
display. The organiser's then saw the error and moved us a couple of displays
away. It was easier to move us as our tent was still on the lorry.
After swapping my reporters head for my judging one. The show got underway,
after the tent was erected . Sitting nearly outside for better light as the
tent roof was yellow & green. A while later the falconry display started
in the main arena the loudspeakers blasting out the commentary to the birds
and the on-lookers, The Harris Hawk decided not to listen and flew off. Sat
judging the hamsters, Book and Pen steward using all round observation in case
the bird dive bombed for a patterned take out. Got all hammies judged and not
loosing any.
Everything went well till Pat Richardson took a dive while packing her car,
she caught her foot in her dogs lead. I tried to be shivelrous and carried her
handbag to the car for her. This is alright, but when another male member of
the club comments on how nice you look with the bag . I start to worry. But
then again Barry Kilburn has got impeccable taste. Your roving reporter singing
