It was nice to have a busy show again - I think that most people
were there. The AGM was held in the hall, so that the judges and the people
working could also join in the meeting and it created a nice friendly atmosphere.
Proposals were made, positions elected - members can read all about it in
their minutes. The show went well and a big thank you to everyone who helped
behind the scenes. The kitchen had to be arranged last minute so I shopped
and made up a price list and as I was show-secing as well left everything
in the kitchen. A big thank you to Sid and Elaine who bought the tea and coffee,
to Pat Gill who was able to man it for a precious few hours in the morning
and to Catherine Groves ably assisted by different people for the rest of
the day.
Congratulations to all the winners - and a big thank you to all the judges,
book stewards, pen stewards, Jenny Rees for the raffle, Tim and the sales
team and all the children for playing so nicely together (mostly)! Also to
Helen Milner who foolishly offered help in an e-mail and ended up doing the
cards for most of the show. If you offer, I will take you up on it…!
Looking forward to the Christmas Show at Great Barr (is it really that time
already?!)
