BRIGHOUSE 8.02.2003

Getting to this show was an art in it's self; Sue phoned to say that she could not get to the show for reasons beyond her control and could we pick her up. Sue sat in the front with the table clothes and handbag on her knees Sandra drove with Hayley and me sat in the back sitting on the 60 of the 60/40 split. Lucky I am the skinny one of the family. Hayley had the trophy box on her knees, me I had me feet together, the sales hammies wedged between my knees Sues briefcase on them and the clipboard with directions on top. All my information boards were left at home if we had not, Hayley or Sue would have been holding onto the roof bars. We got lost in Brighouse. The directions said pass Sainsbury's on your left, we saw a sign for Tescos then Sue Said in a loud voice "IT'S THERE"
The Church were having a coffee morning in a little room as you walked in we were in the church itself we could tell by the huge Cross on the wall. We set everything up and the public came in and had a look. I had said I would be going for a walk when the show started. Pete And I walked round for about an hour and went back to the show.
As we were in a church the show was rather a quiet one it was nice and relaxing then one of the judges shouted "Jesus Christ". Yep you guest it "Maximus fangimus closeimus fastimus" (translated from Latin into English roughly is) Dwarf mouth quicker than judges finger.
Happy Birthday to Mandy Skill. We were going to sing till Ken lit the Candle and it play happy birthday to you, as for us we all wished Mandy many happy returns, the cake cut and eaten, prizes handed out cars packed off home. Well done all winners No well done every body that came and Dianne Totty for passing her last accompanied judging. I only have one complaint and that is my birthday does not fall on a show date then it never has.
